Classique has arrived at the Haul out location in good shape.
Just on Sunday evening there was no internet connection out in the wop-wops enroute.
Now we’re closer to civilization that’s sorted & there’ll be a bus to catch back to Auckland for perhaps a couple of days before Classique comes out of the water as space becomes available & the date for the Auckland Council’s appointed assessor to arrive draws due.
Having shore power makes it so convenient compared with being on a mooring.
Abundant light & hot water, fully charged batteries etc.
The back stay is disconnected in readiness for the travel lift, the wiring to automatic bilge pumps is re-established in the unlikely event she springs a leak & she’s had a good hose down to clean away the residue of Auckland.
The repairs list is now increased by the likely-hood of the mast coming out – that’s a fair escalation of what had previously been envisaged & plans are being set for the long haul.
The view from aloft at the mooring before Classique
took off with it as if she had the bit between her teeth.
